Wow, yesterday was so much! Definitely no time to write a full recap now, as day 2 starts in just about 2 hours (thank you jet lag for the early morning wake up—I got so much done this morning 😋).
Today I’m doing a hackathon all day so had to set some things up. One thing to remember, to update PostgreSQL to the latest version it’s a 2-step process:
brew upgrade postgresqlbrew postgresql-upgrade-database
This helps avoid similar issues to what I ran into when it was first installed. Thanks to this post from Olivier Lacan for explaining what issues might arise before updating versions! This article also explains what’s happening but thankfully could ignore most of it with the commands above.
